So I had this bright idea that we needed to "Ferberize" Little man since he is only able to go to sleep if he is sitting in my lap and is then transferred to his crib once he starts to doze off.
Ferber wrote this book on teaching your child to soothe themselves to sleep with "controlled" crying. WELL! There was nothing controlled about Little Man the first day we tried this method. I'm sure our neighbors thought we had an exorcism going on! It actually got worse by day 3 which is supposed to be the "magic" day according to the book.
Poor baby! I'm sure he was wondering why Mommy was just leaving him in his crib to cry! But Daddy made it all better. (I was crying myself). Notice him giving me the "stink eye" in this photo. Took him a full day to forgive me!
