Okie Thanksgiving 2011

In the past we've had a TX Thanksgiving. But this year, the Family descended upon Oklahoma. :D We had family from California, Missouri and Texas come in for the holiday and it was great! There were gift exchanges, eating, meet ups, eating, outing to the movies with the kids, eating, watching football on the t.v., eating, shopping trips, the run and yes...more eating.
And... oops! I'll have to finish this post later!

(6 hours later) Hey! Sorry about that! Realized that I was supposed to be at my eye appointment and had to bolt! :D

It was great seeing all the family! Many who we only see once a year! :(

Christmas gift exchange with the out of town cousins.

The Kids!
Little Man loved seeing all of his cousins!
Although little "J" wasn't so keen on taking a group photo.

Football!

And more football!

Miss C and her Daddy

P, myself and J participated in the Turkey Trot
the day after Thanksgiving.
Had to run off all those calories!
We think this should be a yearly tradition from now on.

The Men of the Family

And the Ladies!

I included this one because I love it!
Grandma M took it on LM's first day of Pre-K back in August.

Lab pics.....Ewwww!

We've been doing dissections in Lab and I have to say, I'm just slightly less grossed out than I was in High School. Once you get the thing cut open, it's kinda cool. It's cutting into it that is SO NASTY!

Cow Eyeball, and yes, they do squirt.
That is probably the only thing from dissecting one
in High School that I remember.

Fetal Pig
They were bigger than we expected but surprisingly easy to dissect.
Ours was a girl and we had to identify the major organs
as well as the reproductive organs.

I don't think I'll ever eat pork again.

Ahhhhhhh Fall...

This past weekend we were going to take a drive (5 hrs round-trip) to view the fall foliage in our state but we decided that (A). We had plenty of pretty trees around town and (B). We were feeling too lazy that day to spend 5 hours in the car. :D

Here are some pics from a local park:

Little Man!

So happy to be back in Oklahoma where you actually get the changing colors of the leaves.

Halloween

On Halloween Day I took Little Man by his Great Grand-Parents house for a quick visit and candy after school.

Great Grandpa opening the door and getting
attacked by the light saber wielding Darth Vader!

Darth and Princess Leia fighting

The Husb and LM before we set out Trick or Treating

There were a few houses that decorated and one had a "trick" that about scared the pee out of LM! hee hee! The family had a cooler next to the porch with a sign, "Free Candy", on it. When you opened it, a paper snake popped up! Scared me too but it was so funny! LM said, "Not funny!"

Another house had a guy with a white stocking over his face so he looked like a male mannequin. LM told him, "you're creeping me out".

Maybe next year we can incorporate some tricks into our decorations!
